Our experience there
Stowe is easily one of the most iconic and picture-perfect ski destinations in New England. Sitting right under Mount Mansfield, it gives you incredible terrain, including the famous "Front Four" runs for thrill-seekers looking for extreme steeps and massive bumps. Their lift system is ultra-modern, with a high-speed gondola and fast quads that get you up the mountain in a flash. Down at the base and along Mountain Road, you will find some of the best luxury dining, local breweries, and après-ski spots in the state. The biggest drawback is that Stowe gets hit hard by traffic on Route 108 on powder days, lift lines at the main quad can drag, and overall costs are on the higher end.
Where to stay
Stowe village offers dining and après; Spruce Peak puts you close to the slopes.
