Our experience there
They do not call Killington "The Beast of the East" for nothing. If you want pure scale, endless trail choices, and the longest ski season in Vermont, Killington is the place to go. The sheer variety here is mind-blowing—you can spend the whole day ripping long, wide-open groomers, dropping into insane mogul runs like Outer Limits, or exploring their top-tier terrain parks. Their lift infrastructure is top-of-the-line with tons of high-speed quads and gondolas, and their snowmaking firepower is unmatched. On top of that, the après-ski scene along the access road—especially places like the Wobbly Barn—is legendary. The main downside is that because it is so huge, the layout can feel a bit maze-like with flat crossover trails, and peak weekend crowds can get pretty crazy and expensive.
